T.J. Lavin in Critical Condition After Bike Accident

Extreme BMX biker and Gold Medalist from the X-Games, T.J Lavin is in critical condition after a bike accident at the Hard Rock Hotel.

The accident happened Thursday night at the Dew Tour Event in Las Vegas.
During the second set of the course, Lavin lost control after failing to complete one of his stunts. His feet didn't reach the bike's pedals and launched him through the air, knocking him unconscious. When friends and crew approached him, they found Lavin unresponsive and motionless.

A native of Sin City, Lavin has long been a champion competitor in the BMX community, snagging one silver and two gold medals in the X Games.

TMZ reports that Lavin was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors decided to medically induce him into a coma in order to reduce the swelling of his brain. Other injuries he sustained were broken ribs and a shattered wrist.
