Election Stuff For 2010

Voting has begun throughout Nevada for the 2010 Primary Election. Here's one prevailing theme you will hear, voting is up from 2008!!! Election analyists will draw all sorts of brilliant conclusions from that, but I said weeks ago this would happen----and here's the reason why. 2008 was a Presidential election year, and for the first time Nevada held CAUCUSES early in '08. Jan. 19th to be exact. By the time the Primaries rolled around, people were not intersted. Nevada had already cast it's vote in the presidential election, and the primaries were virtually irrelevant. We'll keep a watch out to see if anybody actually figures this out in all of their brilliant analysis.

Bottom line---2008 numbers are virtually meaningless because Democrats and Republicans basically ingored the primaries because they voted in the Presdential Caucus earlier in the year.

The US Senate race will be the hot one. Harry Reid will win his Primary, but the Republican Primary is still very much in the air. I did an e-mail poll. Nearly 2,000 e-mails throughout Nevada and here's the results on the Republican side.

Chad Christensen 24%
Sharron Angle 22%
Danny Tarkanian 21%
Sue Lowden 14%
John Chachas 5%
None of the above14%

There is nothing scientific about this, but them's the results!

Joe Heck will easily win the Republican primary to face Dina Titus this fall and Craig Lake will win his district to take on Shelley Berkley in November.
